Westmount FoundationWestmount Foundation Announces First Annual
Teams for Children Charitable Event

Teams representing commercial real estate-related businesses will compete in the inaugural Teams for Children event benefitting local and international children’s charities.

November 2009 - Dallas-based Westmount Foundation announced today its first annualTeams for Childrenevent will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. The Foundation will encourage its colleagues in the real estate industry to sponsor teams, have fun competing and thereby help raise money for 2010 beneficiaries: CASA of Collin County, Dignitas International, Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and Greenhill School.

Teams for Children was created to unite representatives of Dallas’ top commercial real estate companies for the common goal of enriching the lives of our future generations. Teams will go head-to-head during a fun day of competitive athletic-related games held at Greenhill School.

“We are looking forward to teaming up with our colleagues in the real estate industry for the kick-off of Teams for Children in the spring,” said Cliff Booth, founder of Westmount Foundation and CEO of Westmount Realty Capital. “We believe today’s children are tomorrow’s future, and with the help of event participants and sponsors, we’re aiming to make a substantial contribution to our community in 2010 and in years to come.”

“This event has true promise to grow into a highly popular annual real estate industry event, as similar events have in other metro areas,” Booth added.

Families are welcome to attend and enjoy inflatable games, face painting and other fun activities that will be provided for the children. Event registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. Competitions will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., followed by an awards ceremony and charities presentation.

Sponsorship levels ranging from “Presenting Sponsor” at $9,500, to several “Corporate” levels from $8,000 to $6,500, as well as “Team” sponsorship opportunities at $5,000, and Teams at $2,500 are available. The Westmount Foundation will underwrite the administrative costs of the event to maximize net proceeds to the charities. Companies can also sponsor a team of others (i.e. Dallas Firefighters, Police Officers, or any group of choice in the local area). For more information on the event and/or sponsorships, please visit (, or contact Alice Kettle at (214) 884-3702 or

Watching the credit markets dry up, Dallas-based Westmount Realty Capital president Clifford Booth saw opportunities and spun off Westmount Structured Finance. Cliff tells us these are new first-lien mortgages, lending up to 75% of the LTV (at today’s values, of course). With a 9 to 11% interest rate, Cliff says Westmount has $250M available for loans. In addition to lending, Westmount Foundation is launching a new program,Teams for Children, which pits real estate sports teams against one another, to benefit four children’s non-profits next May. Already a father of four, Clifford has another on the way.
